Can I Get Other Procedures with My Rhinoplasty?

Aug 22, 2019 | Functional Rhinoplasty, Nose, Nose Surgeries, Plastic Surgery, Rhinoplasty, Rhinoplasty | 0 comments

Rhinoplasty is a common plastic surgery procedure to correct and reconstruct the nose. Rhinoplasties are routinely performed on men and women of all ages at Correa Plastic Surgery to improve their overall quality of life and self-image.

Chin and cheek implants can be used in conjunction with rhinoplasty to enhance overall the facial appearance and bring better balance to the facial area. Dr. Correa will speak with you about your options in-depth during your initial consult. However, today we’ll take a closer look at each to help jump-start the decision-making process.

Can I Benefit from Chin Implants?

Chin implants (also known as chin augmentation) often accompany rhinoplasties in order to achieve a more “balanced” look for the face. A “weak” chin can make a nose appear to protrude out of the face. Chin implants can be achieved through surgery or fillers. Surgery has longer-lasting results but does require a longer recovery period. Ideal candidates that may benefit from chin implants are patients with significant asymmetrical faces or short chins.

Can I Benefit from Cheek Implants?

Just like chin implants, cheek implants are also often performed with rhinoplasty surgery. Even making minor adjustments to the cheek can have a dramatically improved effect on facial appearance. Well-defined cheekbones are a desired trait that can have significant anti-aging qualities.

By lifting the skin and smoothing out the lines, the skin will look tighter and younger. Fillers are another option for sunken cheeks but their effects are not as long-lasting as surgery. The ideal candidate that may benefit from cheek implants are patients with flat cheeks, flat facial structure, and asymmetrical facial imbalance.

Should I Combine Procedures?

That’s a question only you and your surgeon can answer. However, combining procedures can produce enhanced results within a single recovery period. Many patients find that they do not need additional downtime for cheek and chin implants after having rhinoplasty surgery. You’ll spend less time recovering and enjoying your newly improved, proportionate face.

Dr. Correa is a Board-certified plastic surgeon who routinely performs combined procedures.

During your consultation with Dr. Correa, you will have the opportunity to view photographs of prior patients so you know what to expect. After your consultation, you will leave with a more thorough understanding of which procedures will work for you. Dr. Correa will work closely with you to address any concerns and help you get the results you want.

Dr Correa and staff did an excellent job taking care of me from start to finish. They were very realistic about the results i could expect and did a great job helping me achieve them. This was my first surgery and it was needed primarily to help with a nose breathing problem but I did have the bump on my nose fixed for looks. Finding the right doctor can be difficult as your nose can really define how you look. Well I can honestly say im glad I chose Dr Correa because I can actually breath through my nose properly for the first time and i love my new look.
