Can I Get Breast Implants with a Breast Lift?

Many women are unhappy with their breasts, so it comes as no surprise that breast enhancements are the most popular form of cosmetic surgery in the United States. Time can negatively impact the breasts and life events such as having children or losing weight can leave women with bodies that make them feel older than they are. Luckily there are ways to reverse these signs and help you feel young and happy with your breasts again.

What Are My Options?

When considering breast enhancement, there are a few options for you to choose from at The Woodlands Plastic Surgery. Depending on your individual needs and goals, Dr. Correa may suggest a simple breast lift that rejuvenates the breasts, breast implants which just increase size, or a combined procedure which lifts the breasts and makes them fuller at the same time. Let’s take a closer look.

Breast Lift

A breast lift, otherwise known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin and repositions the nipple and areola for a younger, perkier look. The surrounding skin is tightened and the tissue is reshaped to contour and raise the breasts. This is a good procedure for those who are unhappy with severely sagging breasts. Though a breast lift can rejuvenate your figure, it cannot round out the upper part of the breast or significantly change the size.

Breast Implants

Breast augmentation, involves using implants to the breasts to increase size and enhance fullness. This is an ideal procedure to help achieve a rounder breast shape, restore volume after weight loss, or improve asymmetry of the natural breasts. Though implants can restore volume and increase size, they cannot lift severely sagging breasts.

Combined Procedure

Ideal for after pregnancy or age-related volume loss that occurs with menopause. Since a simple breast lift won’t increase breast size nor will breast implants help sagging breasts combining breast lift surgery with implants is an excellent way to go.

Pairing the two procedures means you don’t need to add as much volume to round out the breasts while still achieving an increase in cup size. This combination of procedures is perfect post-pregnancy and can help restore age-related volume loss due to menopause. When you combine a breast lift with implants, you’ll look and feel younger while enjoying the boost of confidence in your body.

I couldn’t have picked a better surgeon to do my breast augmentation. Dr. Correa and his staff are wonderful and always there to help when needed. I was extremely nervous about getting them done, but he was there every step of the way with whatever questions I had and made me feel very comfortable. I went from a 34A to 34C…375cc and they couldn’t look any better! I’m so glad I went through…
