More and more women are choosing a breast lift procedure to counter the inevitable effects of aging, gravity, and childbirth. If you are satisfied with the size of your breasts but not happy with their position on your chest, a breast lift might be all you need to regain your youthful silhouette.
A breast lift, or mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin, repositioning the nipple and tightening the surrounding tissue. The result is a reshaped breast, located higher on the chest.

METHODS OF BREAST LIFT SURGERY
Breast lift surgery is done by removing excess skin from the breast and repositioning the nipple. If the areola is enlarged, it can be reduced at the same time. There are four techniques to accomplish our goals, depending on the degree of sagging.
The Anchor Incision
Also known as the “Wise-Pattern” incision, this technique is one of the most common and is used for moderate-to-severe cases of sagging and excess skin. The incision goes around the areola, vertically down to the chest and horizontally along the crease.
The Lollipop Lift
This method is used for a mild-to-moderate amount of sagging. The incision goes around the areola and vertically down to the breast crease, making the shape of a “lollipop”; it avoids the horizontal incision in the breast crease. This is also called a “vertical scar mastopexy”.
The Donut Lift
As the name implies, this incision is circular and goes around the areola. It is suitable for women with mild sagging. This breast lift method is also known as a periareolar incision.
The Crescent Lift
This breast lift method is used for women with a very slight degree of sagging. A crescent-shaped piece of skin is removed from the area just above the areola. The skin is then reattached creating a slight lift.
CONSIDERING A BREAST LIFT?
The overall goal of any cosmetic breast surgery is to achieve beautiful natural looking breasts that create a balanced appearance. Receiving a breast lift from Dr. Correa may be helpful in giving you a balanced appearance. Although in a standard breast lift no breast tissue is removed, often due to their new position they appear slightly smaller and often require a smaller bra size after surgery.
If volume is a concern, then during the breast lift surgery breast implants can be used to provide more volume. Alternatively, if you prefer a slight reduction in the size of your breasts, breast lift surgery can accomplish this by removing some of the breast tissue.
A breast lift might be right for you if you have:
Reasons for a Breast Lift:
Sagging Breasts that lack Volume
Breasts that are flat or hollow at the top
Asymmetrical Breasts
Volume-loss from breastfeeding
Nipples that fall below the fold of the breast
Nipples that pointing downward
Enlarged areolas

Dr. Correa’s Philosophy on
Breast Lift
“Many women seeking breast lift surgery note the unfavorable changes that happened after childbirth and/or normal aging that can change previously beautiful and perky breasts into a flatter and more droopy appearance. Thankfully, we have great operations to get things back where they belong and restore or even enhance the form you previously had.”
