how does microneedling work?
Microneedling with SkinPen by Bellus Medical is a newer procedure in which our licensed Aesthetician, Susie, uses a tool equipped with very thin, shallow needles to invigorate the epidermis and dermis. This procedure triggers collagen production, reducing the appearance of acne scars, crow’s feet and sagging skin. It even opens up the pores to prevent further damage. Microneedling is done in-office by our esteemed partner Susie who specializes in advanced facial treatments.
PHASE 1
Inflamation
Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to disinfect the wounds, remove debris, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue.
PHASE 2
Proliferation
The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.
PHASE 3
Remodeling
The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels.
